Do not sell or share my information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We never have.

So there is nothing here for you to opt out of. We would rather tell you that than put a button on the page that does nothing.

A claim like the one above is easy to make and usually impossible to verify. On this site it is verifiable: open your browser’s developer tools, look at the network requests and the cookies, and you will find no advertising network, no analytics service, no tag manager, no session recorder, and no third-party script of any kind. Even our fonts are served from our own servers rather than from a font network.

The only things stored in your browser are your delivery ZIP, a random cart identifier, and whether you dismissed the ZIP prompt. They are described in the privacy policy.

Fulfilling an order means other companies handle part of it. The distributor shipping your order gets your name and delivery address, because they print the label. The carrier gets the same plus a phone number, so they can deliver it and reach you.

That is a service provider doing a job we hired them for, under contract, using the information only for that job. It is not a sale and it is not sharing for advertising, in the sense the law uses those words. Nobody pays us for your information, and nobody receives it in exchange for anything.

If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas, Utah or Virginia, state law gives you the right to know what a business holds about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to have it deleted, to opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of it.

We extend all of those rights to everyone who buys from us, wherever you live. Running two standards is how the wrong one ends up being applied.

Email privacy@tireandwheel.com, or call (800) 555-0100 and say it is a privacy request.

Tell us what you want — a copy, a correction, or deletion — and give us the order number or the email address you used. We will confirm within ten days and answer within forty-five.

We ask you to identify the order because we have no customer accounts and therefore no other way to know the request is yours. We will not ask you to create an account to make a request, and we will not charge you for it.

An authorised agent may act for you with written permission. If we say no, we will say why, and you can appeal by replying to the same address.

Some browsers send a Global Privacy Control signal. We honour it — though on this site it changes nothing, because there is no sale or sharing for it to switch off. If that ever changes, the signal will already be respected.
