The short version: we collect what it takes to get tires to your door, we give the distributor and the carrier only the parts they need, we do not sell anything about you, and there is no tracking on this site at all.
Tireandwheel.com is operated by [registered entity name], at [registered business address]. In this policy “we” means that company, and “you” means anyone using this site.
We are the controller of the information described below. For privacy questions, write to privacy@tireandwheel.com.
Your delivery ZIP. Asked for before we show prices, and stored in your browser for a year. It is not optional and it is not for marketing: what we can sell you depends on which warehouse can reach you, and what it costs depends on how far it has to travel. Without it we would be showing you products we cannot deliver at prices we cannot honour.
What an order needs. When you place one: your email address, first and last name, delivery address, and a phone number if you give one. The phone number is passed to the carrier, which is the only way a delivery driver can reach you about a heavy, signature-relevant shipment.
What your browser sends. Ordinary web-server records — the pages requested and when. We do not build a profile from them.
Nothing else. We do not ask for a date of birth, a gender, a household income, or anything about your vehicle beyond what you tell a fitment picker in order to be shown tires that fit it. We do not buy information about you from anyone.
This site has no customer sign-up and no customer login. Every order is placed as a guest. There is no password of yours for us to lose, and no profile accumulating behind a login you have forgotten.
The consequence, which is fair to state plainly: your order is looked up by its order number, so treat that number as you would a receipt.
Card numbers never reach our servers. Payment is collected through our payment processor’s own hosted fields, so the number you type goes to them and not to us. There is no column in our database capable of holding a card number.
What we keep is what a receipt shows: the card brand, the last four digits, and the expiry — enough for you to recognise which card you used, and for us to match a refund to a payment.
Our payment processor is [payment processor, once selected], and their own privacy terms govern what they do with the card details you give them.
There are no analytics on this site. No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no session recorder, no third-party script of any kind. Our fonts are served from our own servers rather than from a font network. Nobody is watching you shop, so there is no consent banner to dismiss, because there is nothing to consent to.
Three things are stored in your browser. All three are functional, and that is all:
If this changes — if we ever add analytics or advertising — this section changes first, and anything requiring your consent will ask for it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising — in the sense those terms carry under California law or any other. We have never done so, and there is no mechanism on this site that could: no advertising network receives anything, because none is connected.
The dedicated notice is at Do not sell or share my information.
We also sell through online marketplaces. If you bought from us there, the marketplace collected your information under its own privacy policy and passed us what we need to ship: your name, delivery address, a contact email — often a forwarding address the marketplace generates — and a phone number where they provide one.
We use it to fulfil that order and nothing else. Questions about what the marketplace itself holds have to go to the marketplace.
Order records are kept for [retention period — see tax and warranty obligations], because an order is an accounting record and a warranty claim can arrive years later.
Carts that never became orders, and the browser storage described above, expire on the schedule given in that section.
When you ask us to delete information, we delete what we are not required to keep, and tell you what is left and why.
Depending on where you live, you have the right to know what we hold about you, to get a copy, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and not to be treated worse for asking. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Virginia have these rights by statute; we extend the same to everyone, because operating two standards is how the wrong one gets applied.
Write to privacy@tireandwheel.com. We will confirm receipt within ten days and respond within forty-five, which is the statutory window in the strictest of those states.
We will ask you to confirm the order number or the email address on the order. That is not an obstacle — it is how we avoid handing your address to somebody who typed your name.
You may use an authorised agent. If we decline a request, we will say why, and you may appeal by replying to the same address; where your state provides one, we will also give you the regulator’s contact details.
This site is for adults buying vehicle parts. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, write to privacy@tireandwheel.com and we will delete it.
The site is served over TLS. Card numbers are never transmitted to or stored on our systems. Access to order records is limited to staff who need it, and every support lookup of a customer record is logged with the name of the person who made it.
No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say that than imply otherwise. If we ever suffer a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
We will post any change here and move the effective date at the top. Where a change materially affects what we do with information already collected, we will say so prominently rather than relying on you to notice a date.
